COOKIES
What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file placed on a user’s device by the website they are visiting through their browser. The cookie is either sent by the web server or generated by a script running on the website. The client (your browser) sends the cookie information back to the server with each subsequent request to the same website.Cookies are often used in web applications to temporarily store user actions or inputs that are intended for the server, so that they are not lost if the connection is interrupted (for example, in mobile networks). Once the connection is restored, the server retrieves the cookies. The web application can then identify the sequence in which cookies were created, mark those already processed, or delete their content. To balance the advantages and disadvantages of cookies, users can configure their browsers to block persistent cookies (or only allow them after confirmation) while still permitting session cookies, for example for online purchases or password-protected areas. Most browsers also provide the option to allow or block cookies selectively for certain domains, or to automatically delete cookies after each session, as is the case with session cookies.
